Here is a link to some photos we took on our recent trip to WKORV:

We stayed at the far north end of Building 4 (we bought IV). Our unit (4523) was on the fifth floor at the end of the hall, and our balcony faced north, toward WKORVN. However, if we looked to the left we had a great view of the pool and the ocean -- this really is more like an ocean view room in that respect. We had this same unit when we were in Maui two years ago except we were on the fourth floor. In the photo album I have included two pictures from our trip two years ago looking due north -- you can see that WKORV was just a hole in the ground! The contrast to this year's north-facing photos is interesting.

The "View from our favorite table" photo is from one of the tables outside the lobby area by near the outdoor cafe. We sat there every afternoon enjoying the Drink of the Day and reading our books -- sweet! :whoopie:

Thanks for the pics!!!
How is the construction noise?
Does it seem like North is finally almost complete?

ThX!

We heard no construction noise at all (as opposed to two years ago when we could hear a pile driver noise, but even that wasn't too bad). It looks like all of the construction is done at WKORVN, but all of the buildings aren't open yet. It appears that they are still working in the interior of a couple of the buildings. One of those will have the new spa (supposed to open in February). The restaurant that is below the lobby in the main building is currently a buffet with a different theme every night, but they told us that it will be a high-end restaurant as soon as all the kitchen equipment and the chef are ready.

It was very quiet when we went over to the WKORVN pool, both literally (no construction noise at all) and with respect to there being few people there since the resort isn't totally open. The outdoor cafe that overlooks the beach at WKORVN is nice -- they grill food to order, and owners get a 15% discount! They serve burgers, grilled fish sandwiches, and other sandwiches. And they have a Drink of the Day too, just like WKORV!
