Massanutten Woodstone Meadows (PIC+=154K), Massanutten Shenandoah Villas (PIC+=254K), Massanutten Regal Vistas (Resale), Shawnee Village Ridge Top (175K), Club Wyndham La Cascada (Resale 335K), Club Wyndham Access (449K)
Good morning,
I have three Massanutten timeshares (2BR, 3BR and 4BR). I currently have a PIC Plus Enrollment for the 2BR (154K Points) and the 3BR (254K Points). I want to discontinue the 2BR and add-on the 4BR (254K). If I can do this, I will reach Platinum status with my account by using 508K for VIP status from the PIC Plus program. Is it possible to make a swap and does it cost anything to do so?

My understanding is you will need to make another retail purchase to make that happen because you will be enrolling another timeshare in PIC.

Also you can only have 2 PIC's

Thank you. Another question is do I have to deposit my weeks for CW points or will they automatically give me the points each year without a deposit?

You have to deposit weeks, by the 9 month date of the week. You also have to pay a fee, which went up recently. It's a mult-part process between RCI and Wyndham and admittedly I don't have a PIC, but I did my research and have garnered a lot of info on the process.

There's many people here who likely can fill in any gaps

To 2nd what FloridaMan said, the PIC Plus agreement specifically outlines that you cannot swap out one unit for another.

That being said, the PIC Plus program seemingly is pretty loose on tracking the underlying PIC property. I am communicating with them and they cannot tell me what timeshare is in PIC with them.

Correct you cannot substitute or swap using the same PIC Plus contract. You’d have to expire one contract for another - the question would be - is this possible while preserving legacy VIP? I agree with Floridaman said, a net new developer purchase would be required to do so either way.

Yep, I keep a text file on hand that contains the PIC Plus contract numbers and which PIC property they match up against. Wyndham still does not seem to have access to any system data that shows them this info. The reps are always appreciative that I have this data readily available when I call to perform the points swaps.

One other point, the current fee is $226 for each PIC Plus points swap/deposit performed, so if you have two PIC Plus contracts and convert every year like I do, it’s $452 in fees per year.

Lastly, doing a bit of math here, if the OP currently has 154k+254k and is currently VIPG, even if a contract swap is feasible, the net amount of points added would only be 100k more points for VIP eligibility. The current VIPP tier requires 1.1m points. How many points does the OP currently own? The minimum qualifying developer purchase would he 49k points IIRC - so 49k+100k is adding a total of 149k points to their account. If that’s not enough to reach the 1.1m point threshold for VIPP, then they would have to purchase more developer points to reach that threshold.

I have 449,000 CWA points; 175,000 Shawnee Ridge Top; 335,000 Resale; and 408,000 PIC Plus. I just purchased another 4BR which would be 254,000. I wanted to trade the 2BR out for the 4BR, adding 100,000 additional points. (449K + 175K + 408K = 1032K). I want to upgrade to Platinum VIP by making the PIC Plus 508K (254K + 254K). Any suggestions are useful.
Thanks.

Your Shawnee property is about to go ***POOF*** on December 31, in theory if it's retail points, AND you choose to convert to CWA, they SHOULD do the right thing and move your PIC that is bound to that property to CWA so you don't lose your PIC.

But I have little faith everything will go as it should. You should definitely call them and as part of whatever documents you have to sign, make sure you stipulate the PIC moves with it.,

Got it - so you will need to purchase the minimum 49k points contract - probably CWA given you already own a chunk of it, again assuming the swap is possible. I'm also assuming you're going to take the swap offer for the Shawnee contract correct? Otherwise you'll be losing 175k points come 1/1/2026. If we assume the average developer price from telesales will be around $175/1000 (just a guess), then that's 49*175=$8575 plus fees, to move from VIPG to VIPP. Only you can determine if you'll see any ROI on this type of transaction over time of course.

Following up on this item, I confirmed that you can drop a PIC Plus contract, and then subsequently add a net new PIC Plus contract, with a qualifying developer purchase. These are basically two separate transactions, so when the PIC Plus contract drops off your account, as we suspected, the next PIC Plus contract addition will have to qualify under the current VIP program tiering/points thresholds.

I know this may be a little off topic, but I understand there is PIC Plus and PIC Express, but I seem to recall @HitchHiker71mentioning a third more obscure PIC option? What was that? I meant to take a note of it and can't seem to find the old post mentioning it.

That concept originated with this post from way back in 2019: https://tugbbs.com/forums/threads/wyndham-proposal-for-gold-upgrade-from-silver.293752/post-2320520

It's a good question, since we're literally six years out from that post, I'll revisit this with my Wyndham contacts. IDK if the PIC Plus Limited Membership option is still available. It was available back in those days without a doubt, I have the verbiage in the contract from back then, but change is the only constant, so allow me to follow up on this option to validate if it still exists.
