Phone tracking

When my husband got 21on the cognitive test, he was pretty far along. I witnessed the test many times, and it is not very hard.
Until they give you 60 seconds to give them all the words you can think of that began with F or some other random letter! If you can’t come up with at least 10 you miss a point. Freaked me out that I was stuttering and stammering and luckily came up with fox at the last second. Will study up for my next test!

Slow, old and stupid. After twisting myself up into knots, I went back to his phone and plain as day it offered to share its location with me. So I think I actually got it done!

Now if the DMV actually talks to him Tuesday (his 88th birthday is Wednesday) during his license renewal, instead of just having him read the eye chart and pay, I’ll be happy. (He doesn’t know our address and can’t answer that sort of question). If that doesn’t pan out I’ll have Reata Glen report him so I and his doctor have plausible deniability. Actually shows no impairment driving, but can’t find his underwear every morning (pull-ups live in the bathroom not the dresser, and that information refuses to stick in his mind) so it’s long past time to give up his license. He has been fighting me tooth and nail on no freeway driving, so had to cancel Easter with my mother. I’ll instead go alone for Mother’s Day next month.
Can you put a supply of pull-ups in the dresser as well?

Well, duh. I suppose I could. Bought Trader Joe’s instant coffee because I was there and we were almost out and real coffee bothers his gut. Every day I had to point out the new jar of coffee as he hunted through the cupboard. My physical therapist suggested putting the TJ coffee in the Safeway jar. Since I save “good jars” for grease, I had the jar. Problem solved. I guess I need to alter my own thinking instead of hoping he’ll finally figure it out. Moving a stack to the dresser now.

Unfortunately that is exactly what you need to do because you are more adaptable than he is. We had a lady move into the long term care home where I worked who could never remember where her room/bed was. We enlarged a photo of her and her DH and taped it to her bedroom door then had her DH bring in the quilt off her bed at their house to put on her bed. That stopped her from getting into her room-mates bed after finding the right room. It is a challenge keeping one step ahead of somebody with dementia, whatever the stage. Wishing you luck.
