I finally got access to my first resale account (YAY!) and I'm trying to find my way through paymentus. I was looking to pay my bill for the year and it's telling me no payment is due and has nothing for future bills until January of 2025 which still says $0.00. I feel there's no way I got a contract already paid off for the year and there are no files under previous bills. I'm worried it's suddenly going to pop up and I'm gonna miss the payment if I don't check every day. I've had access for almost a week now but rci still doesn't work so I'm not sure. Any ideas before being on wait forever over the phone?

No loan, no payment due.

Wyndham bills one of my credit cards monthly. The only thing in my Paymentus page is Payment History, which shows maintenance fee payments.

Wyndham will let you know when maintenance fee payments are due.

Is there nowhere to see future bills on my member page on the website? That seems really strange. I assume they send it by mail then?

This is the way it looks when you first get an account, and then suddenly, without warning, your first maintenance fee will appear. Be warned it’s possible it could be for two months (that happened to me). There’ll be no breakdown or explanation as to how the figure is derived. Further, there’ll be a “payment amount” that is about 1/10 of the “amount due,” with no explanation as to what the heck that means either. Just keep checking your paymentus account and it’ll show up.

Make sure to set it up for recurring payments when it does appear, or they tack on a surcharge.

Thank you, so matinence fees do show up in paymentus. There is surprisingly very little info about matinence fees in general. Do they never send paper bills?

The only time you’ll get anything on paper is when they send the annual new assessments for the year. Yeah, it’s bull. Also it’s frequently wrong, you should stay on top of what you think it is and call if it doesn’t look right. You can use the maintenance fees listed in this forum to try to figure out what you think it should be. Keep in mind that it could be 2 months worth for the first fee and also that they add like a $10 or $15 monthly surcharge until you set up autopay.

Edit: At least that’s been my experience.

It was rather confusing for me when we got our first resale contract back in November. What I have noticed so far. We had two accounts, I think one was a paid off loan account and the other is the actual maintenance fee/club fee account. In the main account for our annual fees there are two amounts

Payment Amount - This is the club fee divided by 12. If you multiply this by 12 you will get the club fee you are paying. Ours is calculated incorrectly right now based on having PlusPlartners. I called to try and get PlusPartners removed but the call was dropped and I haven't bothered to call back in.
Total Due Amount - This is the amount that will be paid via AutoPay if you have that setup. If you don't setup AutoPay there is an $8 charge that will hit your account a few months later. I just manually paid the first two months and I noticed our January Total Due Amount was $24 higher. I called to ask why it was different and was told the $8 for non AutoPay per month. So $8 for each of the first two months and then $8 for the bill they just mailed. They did waive one of the months for me. I suspect we were getting mailings because I wasn't setup on AutoPay yet. I have found that Total Due Amount updates each month on or around the 10th. Our bill is due on the 28th. I am not sure if those dates are the same for everyone. I was able to calculate the correct amount for Total Due Amount since we received an annual assessment in late 2023. You might not have that since you just got your contract now. It is also possible that the seller already made the February payment. I would give it a month or so for everything to settle in and you should then be able to determine the 2024 monthly amount. I also noticed that the manual bill fee was not automatically charged through AutoPay. So after AutoPay charged our card, we still had a $16 balance I had to pay manually.

Thank you that's exactly what I needed to know. That's wild that they send out wrong billing amounts that you have to put in effort to correct.

The issue is that I actually have access to PlusPartners. Useless really. So that is why they are charing the club fee based on the PlusPartners amount. It is only an extra $30 a year, so not at the top of my list of things to fix, but I will get it fixed one day.

Ever since they changed over to PaymenUS last year, I have no visibility into my billing info. No payment info, no history, no contract numbers. It's correct when they auto bill me every month, so I have not put any effort into fixing it.

Mine was one of the ones which autopay rolled over correctly and I seem to remember some chatter on the facebook groups that people had issues with this, mine never stopped billing correctly, but just doesn't display correctly online

You solved the mystery! I also incorrectly have plus partners and the difference (2 cents thousand points) hasn’t been enough for me to get off my lazy butt and do something about. At some point I’m going to need to battle about this as well though because it’s going to add up now that I have over 600k points per year.

Oh, also, be prepared for Wyndham to erroneously report to the credit reporting agencies that you have a "zero dollar" loan with them that has been paid off. I have successfully disputed that report with each of the major credit reporting agencies for each of the resale contracts I've purchased, but they keep doing it, and it's annoying. If you care to, you can create free accounts with equifax, experian & transunion (make sure to select Free account, don't pay for them!) and then you can use those accounts to dispute it. Just put in the dispute field "I do not have a loan or credit account with this vendor nor have I ever had a loan or credit report with this vendor, this is an error. I purchased a resale timeshare contract with no loan and they erroneously reported that I have a loan with them." Or something to that effect. That's worked for me each time.

I just wish I was eligible for autopay in Paymentus with my resale account. No idea why I can't set up autopay, so I have to remember to go in each month and pay or I get a notice I'm late ... eventually.

Do they charge you the $8 fee for not paying via AutoPay?

I got some kind of error when I first setup AutoPay, but when I went back and looked the AutoPay was turned on and I was automatically billed the next payment.

Not that I can tell? I get billed the same amount online as on the mailing. Every time I try and even go to set up autopay it just says "not eligible".

How or why would you not be eligible for auto pay?

I am just hypothesizing, but perhaps the contract in the past had a bunch of failed payments and they have it marked now? Nothing with Wyndham really makes sense.

This is totally true. I got set up with Paymentus last July for a transfer that completed in June. They tacked an additional $160 onto my first bill (for some bogus "prior charge" or something like that) and no amount of calling or talking to supervisors could get them to take it off. So I requested an account audit and now nearly 8 months later, that audit has not been completed. I have to call in every month, pay the real amount of maintenance fees, rehash the whole story for them, and request (yet again) that they escalate the request for the account audit. Never happens. I now have a constant message on the account that it is past due and my membership benefits and reservation transactions may be suspended, and the account continues to accrue late fees and other bogus charges. I escalated this to Michael Brown's office and of course I've heard nothing.

We always have a great time when we travel to Wyndham resorts (just got back from a great ski trip to Smugglers' Notch) but dealing with the company on the back end is endlessly maddening.
