Past Due Maintenance Make & Exchange Power

I just noticed I can make a reservation and place an exchange request on II for 2012 despite I haven't paid my 2012 dues yet. So is the exchange system and maintenance fee billing totally separate systems? Or will the exchange not go through until I made payment?

They will likely cancel the reservation shortly after you make it if you don't make the MF payment. We had this happen with our MGV week we bought resale. The 2007 MF were not paid and we asked the seller to make us a reservation, he did, and then a few days later they canceled the reservation.

Ya, just got the email. I wouldn't expect they would allow you to do it but thought it odd they let you place it in the first place.
