Grand Islander Offers Partial deed, Do we get home week priority and minimum waived, how does that work

You should have the same rights as full week which is be able to book your Home Week with no booking fees. But I don’t understand what you are referring to on minimum waived.

Perhaps OP is asking about a partial week deed, that is one for 3 nights one year and 4 nights the next year. If that's the case, the question might be whether a 3-night or 4-night stay could be booked as a Home (half) Week. Not sure I've seen this come up before but I've seen reference to the half week ownerships in NYC.

To expand on @Eric B's answer, in NYC the owner was able to book a Home Week every other year by calling HGV (they couldn't do it online). I assume but do not know if that is also true for GI.

Interesting question, my understanding is weeks are loaded into the database as full weeks by the check in days, and cannot be broken into shorter stays until Club Season opens. It would be nice to know how these partial weeks are loaded into the system, or does it let owners break them up before Club with a Home reservation. If the latter, there are probably two check in days for the week and it won't let you pick any three or four days.

Minimum being the less than 7 nights I think they mean. Should be noted that GI is 365 days to 186 days from check-in for home week vs everyone else's,
365 days to 276 days from check-in.

Some properties are sold with partial week deeds.

Well, looking at the Club Rules, it appears that there is no minimum number of days for a Home Week reservation. The limitations are that you have to make the booking for the number of days you own as a consecutive night reservation checking in on the resort's standard or available check-in day. This doesn't really line up with being able to make a full Home Week reservation every other year with a half week ownership as mentioned by @ljmiii, but who knows what the ownership really was - maybe it was really an EOY ownership rather than a half week every year.

Home Week reservations are consecutive night reservations at the Home Resort in the season and unit type owned, for the number of days owned, checking in on the resort’s standard or available check-in day (“Home Week”). Members have a priority reservation period to reserve their Home Week during the “Home Week Priority Reservation Window” without competing for such reservation with other Members other than those owning the same suite configuration and season at the same resort. This window lasts approximately 90 days beginning one year (365 days) prior to the desired check-in date and ending nine months (276 days) in advance of the desired check-in date.

After the Home Week Priority Reservation Window ends, Members will no longer have an exclusive window to book their Home Week, however, they may still make a Home Week reservation, subject to availability.

The Home Week Priority Reservation Window for Hokulani Waikiki, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club (also known as BW Vacation Suites) and The Grand Islander, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club (also known as GI Vacation Suites) lasts six months (186 days) beginning one year 365 days) prior to the start day of the desired check-in and ending six months in advance of the desired check-in date.

Reservations may only be made during the Home Week Priority Reservation Window using the current-year ClubPoints associated with the specific ownership interest. When a Home Week reservation is confirmed, the entire annual allotment of ClubPoints assigned to the Member for that ownership interest is used. Home Week Priority Reservation Windows may be extended during the first year that a resort is available for occupancy through HGVClub.

Members who own a designated fixed or event week shall automatically have their week reserved annually. In order to use a fixed or event week for other vacation options available, the Member may visit the website at club.hiltongrandvacations.com or contact HGVClub to cancel the automatic reservation. If ClubPoints are borrowed against a fixed or event week, the Home Week reservation rights appurtenant thereto are relinquished and no automatic reservation will be made.

My guess is it is the entire annual allotment should be used as a rule, for partial deed it would be 2 check in days s, If its 3 night they will be able to book those predetermined 3 nights and for four nights it will be those 4 nights, similar to those members. This is unique to Grand Islander and New York only right, I want to confirm with existing owners

Except that if you own an EOY week you just book your Home Week reservation online every other year (as I have done at Lagoon many, many times).

But it's not as if I know the reality...I just remember that they wrote it was a NYC partial week deed and that they had to call to make their Home Week reservation. I don't actually know if that meant booking 3 or 4 nights every year at 12 months or 7 nights every other year.
