Sorry if this has been answered somewhere, but I'm very new to Tugs (just joined today!). My hubby and I were talking about timeshares and where we would "not mind" being forced to vacation, and he mentioned Atlantis in paradise island. Based on some cursory research, harbor side (?) is a timeshare in Atlantis?

How would I go about looking for a rental for this resort?

We dont know where to start in order to find an Atlantis rental! We do own a timeshare but it's dvc and we know everything dvc but NOTHING about any other system. Any help is much appreciated!!

Harborside at Atlantis is a timeshare.

You can find many rentals for HRA in the TUG Classifieds - click on MARKETPLACE in the red bar at the top of the page, where you can find rentals from other owners.

When you rent from an owner at this resort, you will receive an official Harborside reservation (issued by resort reservations) in your name.

How to confirm that a rental is Legit:

Thanks!! Wow-- Atlantis is as $$ as dvc to rent (4K for a 2bd for a week)... Maybe slightly less but still. I need to do more research-- thank you!!

MF's year round at Harborside are more than most Disney weeks. Most off season Harborside owners have difficulty even renting for their MF's. A 2 br lock off owners pays almost $3000 in MF regarless of which week or season they own.

Just to be clear: Atlantis is the hotel - a separate entity, and the timeshare on the property is Harborside.

Thanks for the info-- so Atlantis hotel is more convenient? Would harbor side be similar to Saratoga springs at Disney (not close to the parks but still has access to Disney perks)? I'm so sorry I'm so new to trying to understand Atlantis and the timeshare aspect of Atlantis.

I just looked at the maintenance fees for harbor side. Ouch. I had no idea. What is considered the off season at Atlantis? So sorry, I'm so new at this. I feel like I'm asking such simple questions.

Doing some more reading on Atlantis-- is there a site site with pictures that can provide me with a primer on all the amenities and the hotels/residences plus locations and conveniences? Thanks in advance for any information!!

The Atlantis Hotel, and the Harborside Timeshare are both on the same property - which is huge. Most people take the free shuttle to get around.

Which is more convenient really depends on what your needs are because one property has hotel rooms, and one has full size condos. One consideration is whether you want to eat out every meal, or want a kitchen. Eating out is very expensive at this resort.
