We've stayed at the Marriott Villas in Palm Springs. we've never stayed at the Westin Rancho Mirage. Nice size rooms?

We've stayede at the villas before, beautiful facility and accommodations are hugh. Westin Rancho MIrage has mixed reviews. Any opinions? Just a 2 night stay.

The large 1-bed units are nice. Lots of reviews here for that resort - search for it.

Thank you. I did find some.

I much prefer walking the grounds at the Westin to walking around the Marriott prop

erties. This especially applies if you are interested in jogging a few miles. An added bonus - Costco is close to the Westin. Westin picture attached

We much prefer Desert Springs Villas I or II (where we are owners).

We’ve stayed at the Westin Mission Hills Resort & Villas twice. The rooms are fine, but the “resort” itself is tired and since the Westin Golf Resort & Spa next door has cut off access we won’t be going back.

For a two night stay, I don't think it really matters all that much. The Westin Mission Hills is nice enough, the larger 1BR and the 2BR units have gas grills on the patio. The resort is quest and tranquil with the nice water feature running through the courtyard. Desert Springs Villas is a HUGE resort, Mission Hills is rather compact. Mission Hills is closer to some other dining and shopping options where Desert Springs is in more of a larger residential area.
Here is a playlist of videos of the Westin Mission Hills if you want to get an idea of what the resort is like.

Thank you for the input.

Barbara

Desert Springs 1 is best for us since we get privileges at the JW which is a short walk (be aware that Desert Springs II does not have JW privileges) We prefer the JW pools, work out facilities and their great restaurants. Units F G,H and are the closest to the JW and a short walk to the grocery store, and they do not face the street. We prefer the 2nd floor but be aware that there are no elevators so if you travel with heavy/large suitcases, the ground floor might be better.
