What is the major difference? I think Villas I have access to pool but II doesn't? What about room configuration?
Barbara

I think your referring to Desert Springs Villas 1 and 2. Villas 1 has access to JW pool on Monday - Fridays. Otherwise both have access to all the desert springs pools. Villas 1 is slightly larger. However lockout unit is a little more isolated from main living area. Some with little kids prefer 2 because of that layout. Or you could like it because its quieter in Villas 1 lockout and noise from living area has slightly further to travel in Villas 1. Just don't shut main doors and its fine.

This has been a popular question this month. Check out this thread;

Here is another good thread from last year;

What is the main difference, besides spa visit for Villas I? On the studio units in I & II, only queens? Some Kings beds?

Didn't you ask about this the other day? There are some links to other threads in this one;

Not sure of the layout of the units, but I can tell you that you can purchase DSV1 without any worries of Marriott taking it away from you........

ROFR on DSVII. No ROFR on DSVI

Seems to be a question that comes up a couple times every single week.
Yes, it does. Keeps coming up.

I may have different interests than others, but I like all five of the Marriotts in PD: DSV1, DSV2, DSV2-Jasmine, SRV, and SRE. I don't think that a person can go wrong with any of them. To me they are all very nice and are basically "fungible" although I do have some slight preferences. Later this year we're staying at Desert Willow, so maybe I'll add that one to my "fungible" list. I grabbed it as an instant exchange and it is the only 2 BR that I recall showing up.

Yeah, rarely see 2BR Willows! Good trade. Jasmine Court is really growing on me too. Use to hate it.

Isn't it technically four? You can't book DSV2-Jasmine specifically? Of course any request for that is likely to be fulfilled. Kind of like Kingfish at Ocean Pointe.

We stayed at Westin Desert Willow last year and will be back again this year. I was surprised to see that there were 2BR deposits out there as it has been a lot of years since Vistana deposited full 2BR units when at resorts where all units lock off into 1BRs. It is rare to find the same thing on Marriott.com.

Yes, technically it is only four.

Yes, I was surprised when I saw the 2 BR unit show up during a manual search. Perhaps an error. But I booked it. :)

MVC/Vistana deposited a bunch of 2BR WDW and WMH for stays between this year's Thanksgiving and New Year (inclusive of both start and end dates). I suspect MVC made the call to deposit 2BRs again. We shall see.

I am guilty of asking this question about DSV1 vs Shadow Ridge and which one is more family friendly. Shame on me! I ended up keeping DSV1 and changing the dates to Dec 19-24 so we can be home for Christmas Day. I have no more ePlus exchanges left so this is it. There were many weeks for December through the holidays at both Marriott and Vistana so it was probably bulk deposits.

I think DSV1 Vs Shadow Ridge is a different question. No shame in asking about it. We do quite often see the DSVI vs DSVII pretty often, at least lately. These were two weeks apart from the same OP. I suspect they couldn't find the thread they started two weeks ago, thus started a new one. Using search to find these doesn't work well either because the search terms are too short for the Xenforo search to really be able to work.

My only suggestion is to avoid a unit that is close to Cook Street. You might get a bit of street noise. I think that all of the others have nice golf course views. The units on the south side of the street are a bit quieter and don't hear noise from the JW.
