I have recently bought an EOY odd floating week and am in the process of purchasing an EOY even floating week at OBBR. I purchased them from the listings on TUG. My first week as an owner is booked next month. I love St Martin but bought the weeks with the idea that I would use Interval International to trade for other Caribbean and southern vacations. As I am using my first week, I don't want to sign up for II until I have a week to bank. how can I find out what kind of trading power my floating weeks will get me on II?

As of last night

We just sat though a hard sell on converting our even year floating week to II Points last night. We were told that the trading power points were 38750

I don't know the specifics of this resort's trading power, but one of the issues with St. Maarten is the large number of timeshare units on the island. That can cause an oversupply so trading values are lower. Hopefully someone will have more specific information about OBBR but you are wise to understand the value before buying another week.

Is there any way to find out what 38,750 points mean? I own at a resort that recently added the ability to convert to points but without being able to quantify the conversion the sales pitch doesn't have credibility. I would like to know.

We did not know what it meant either. He tired to show us other resorts and what their point values were. The list he was showing us from was not very long. This is why I am searching through TUGBBS today.

It's a fairly new program so even on TUG I don't think there is much experience. I do know that it's called Club Interval Gold and it comes with a Gold account so that is a drawback for me. Converting would entail an annual club fee which pays for the Interval Gold Account which would hold the points weeks but only the points weeks. I have many weeks and I don't want to pay for two II accounts.

That said I still would love to see a guide or at least an example of how many points it costs to book x.
