Owners Update at Ko-Olina

My Marriott Ownership is down to one EOY week Newport Coast.
I received an advance phone call from a very persuasive rep telling me I'm
a Preferred Owner because of my Legacy Week. I told her I recently surrendered
my Timber Lodge week back to Marriott, and was surprised she was inviting me.
She acknowledged she could see that info on my account, and persisted.

I asked about incentives and was told I would receive 3 $25 vouchers.

What the heck, I went today. I was done in less than 30 minutes. Best offer:
1,000 points for $17,720.

He said it would take hope and a prayer to get another Interval Exchange to Ko-Olina.
I replied: It worked this year.

He said 99% of Owners have their Legacy weeks enrolled.
I find that hard to believe.

I am curious how many points it takes to book:
Ko-Olina, 2 bedroom, mountain view.

We have view of marina, and some water. Nice enough for me.

He is on crack. Not horrible, but 2BR NCV for MKO in May is a BIG downgrade. We can and do routinely book our Shadowridge gold studio for 2BR MKO in April and May. This is an at will, every year, easy trade. These sales people are delusional, clueless, or just plain liars.

But $75 for a sales meeting may the worst I've ever seen. I guess when you try to talk them out if it this is what they offer.
 
Why did you accept $75? I got $400 in Orlando. Push for more next time.

Perhaps attended single? I don't know the situation but if I know they don't offer the great incentives to people attending on their own.

They offered $250 but I asked for more. They then offered $300 plus a $100 restaurant gift card. Don't accept their first offer.

Yes, I'm solo. Wasn't in the mood to bargain.
I consider an Exchange into any 2 bedroom in Hawaii to be a win,
based on higher maintenance fees here.

Looks like you are having a relaxing time at Ko'Olina, especially while having a white sangria! To answer your question, I reserved a 2BR penthouse Mountain View for the end of June with 4565 points. Enjoy the rest of your vacation! CJ
 
HGVC is offering $200 for a meeting @ Lagoon Tower. I asked for more , got $250 last year but was told no, but thats still good for an hourly wage!
