Good news! As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance security, you may already be seeing two‑factor authentication on your Owner account online. Registration takes just a few minutes, and once set up, you can manage your Owner account with an added layer of security.

What is Two‑Factor Authentication?
Instead of only using your username and password to access your ownership online, you’ll be prompted to provide another form of identification, such as your mobile phone number or email address.

How Does it Work?
You’ll be prompted to register for two‑factor authentication. After that, you’ll be able to choose how you’d like to receive a one‑time code to log in to your Owner account.

I got an email talking about this almost a month ago, I just looked.

As mentioned - I initially got in w/o a 2FA, then in middle of reservation process (on extremely busy evening) it requested I set up a 2FA. It kicked me to that page a few times even tough I had verified it already. I think that people coming in for the 1st time that night - helped contribute to the chaos.
Be forewarned - as the text around this is confusing - you do not need an Authenticator App (that has the QR code).
Just use email or even better a phone number - since the 2FA text comes through quickly.
Why not just use a PassCode Marriott? Or is that too modern for them?
