We have owned at a Resort in Scotland for over 35 years. Bought in during the planning stages and was paid off in the early 90's. We no longer live closeby to use the resort and so have exchanged through RCI for the majority of it. Always up to date on our dues and membership fees. In 2023 they offered a buyout and changed the deed to having an end date instead of in perpetuity. We kept up but weren't able to bank for 2024 week as we were told they were in negotiations with RCI. Called today and were told they disbanded the administration at the end of last year and we've basically lost our timeshare and any dues/fees we paid since 2016. No communication from them on this at all. Does anyone know of what we can do? I know Scotland has different rules from the rest of the UK? We loved having it as a place to visit when in Scotland, and exchanging for other vacations. Thank you!

I think the right answer is probably "nothing".

If you weren't using that specific timeshare and want to continue using rci, you can get a good RCI traded for free. It seems likely they by looking you could get something with lower fees/higher tpu and come out ahead on the change.
