I'm here at Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, WI for a business meeting. I never heard of it before, but since it's a condo resort and just "felt" like it should be a timeshare, I decided to look it up in RCI -- sure enough, it's resort #5320! There are no TUG reviews yet. Since I'm just here for a quick business meeting I don't feel like I could do a full review, but thought I'd give a quick overview for anyone curious about the resort.
RCI lists the resort as "not rated yet" but it is definitely a gold crown! The rooms are gorgeous -- wonderful comfortable beds that rival the Heavenly Bed in my opinion, granite countertops, jacuzzi tub and shower in the bathroom (squeaky clean), nice balcony. I can't comment on the kitchen since I'm in a lock-off unit (like a regular hotel room with a microwave, small fridge and sink). The only strange thing about the hotel room is that there aren't any kitchen utensils or dishes, other than a coffee cup and a glass.
Since I'm just here for a quick business trip, I haven't had any time for recreation, but there is an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a fitness center, two restaurants, and a spa. The resort is right on Elkhart Lake so there are recreational opportunities available there too.
I don't know how hard it would be to trade in here, but I'd definitely like to come back for a vacation!
