TripAdvisor's readers have ranked the best restaurants, and several are in Central Florida. What is the common area? Walt Disney World!

That would make sense given a readers choice type pole since WDW is the most visited tourist spot in Florida. People will generally select places they ate while on vacation and how many restaurants can you really try over the course of a trip or two? It should be noted, that picking Blaze Pizza and Earl of Sandwich (both big fast casual chains with mediocre food) doesn't really support the other selections on the list. We've been to T-Rex a couple times and won't go back. Overpriced food, mainly because you are paying for atmosphere and location.

Best restaurants “in the world”? Those aren’t even the best restaurants in Disney World.

I do find that whenever there us a list of best restaurants in/around Disney/Kissimmee, they almost always include chains and Disney restaurants. The known is comfortable for most people - especially with children.
We always ask the resort staff when we check in, "where's the best place to eat around here?" We say we want to eat where locals eat. About 15 years ago, a young man gave us the address for a barbecue place a few miles away. Several backroads later, we arrived at the least glamourous restaurant you can imagine. Wooden screen door slapping constantly, tables with countertop material worn through. The smell was mouth-watering and the food...amazing! Absolutely amazing. That was our best find to date. Couldn't find it again on a bet but it was certainly memorable.
