Harris Rosen not only created the Rosen Hotel group, he created the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida, gave out tons of scholarships, gave out inexpensive health insurance to his employees, etc. He also developed Disney World's first hotels (Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Village Hotel, and the Fort Wilderness campground). He died the other day at 85.

I saw a report on local Orlando news this morning. Mr Rosen was a very generous man, especially during Hurricanes, put people up in his hotel kept the food court open and also gave area children free swimming lessons in the hotel pool. He will be missed .
