Judging by the number of Orange Lake units on ebay sold by PCC resellers, I doubt they offer free deedbacks.

Good point either that or they don't know about deeding back.

No, but they offer a section on how to go about selling your unit.

Depending on what you have , most have zero value, some have a little value. Orlando, nothing much. Orange lake has some facebook pages and I see some interest when people put it out depending on week you have. Week 52 is the most desirable one it seams.
What do you have, and where?
If you can't , Message me what you have and I'll let you know.

TUG has a great place to give it away.

have you attempted to contact your HOA to see if they will accept your week back?

I don't think he owns there. He is thinking about buying or accepting one for free but only if he knows he could give it back to the HOA without having to pay any fees or do any work to do so when he is done with it.

Yes exactly I no longer want to own anywhere else unless they accept free deedback; because, if I decide I ever don't want it I want a hassle free option to deedback without cost. I have another post but was particularly eyeing an orange lake deed, but no free deedbacks is upsetting because since they bought silverleaf and it seems the plan is to convert all silverleaf resorts to orange lake and run them as such my free deedback option may be out the door.

sadly, even if that option did exist today...there is no guarantee it would still be an option tomorrow, or next year etc should you buy it.

yeah definitely aware you are at the resorts mercy pretty much. my mother-in-law is in the process of deeding back a blue week with silverleaf. I told her hurry up before their policy changes bc once all resorts are converted to HICV it sounds like silverleaf owner services is likely out jobs and everything will likely filter through HICV main office. I am just speculating so far so good she is getting the deedback paperwork to get out from under that ball and chain.

on another note

Does anyone know if HICV allows discounted maintenance fees on dual ownership. The only timeshares I feel I am an expert on are Silverleaf since I own there and since HICV bought silverleaf it would appear this is a game changer down the road for me. I need to learn more about HICV now.

Every week has its own fees , only discount is one membership fee ($126)in the point system if you own 1 or 4
But a week unit I don't know.
I don't think I would have been in such a hurry to get rid of my silverleaf unit. Best chance to get into the point system cheap, but maybe not, time will tell.
Every takeover has been different so it is a toss up what they will do with those.

Renting is the best option for hassle free, go anywhere you want, no obligation. If you are flexible the last call vacations on this sight will get you almost anywhere for next to nothing.

HIVC does not discount maintenance fees for multiple ownerships. HIVC does allow you to use your Points for maintenance fee credits, however this method is not very cost effective, but if you are not going to use all your points it's better than allowing the points to expire. You can also use your points like cash while staying at any HIVC Resort to pay for incidental charges like food or greens fees. HIVC Points are good for 2 years and if you are not going to use all your points, they can be deposited into an IHG Rewards Account where they NEVER expire. A very valuable program in my opinion.

big thanks for this information the one of smoky mountain resort coupled with the one of resort in vegas usage on inhouse exchanges isn't worth the extra mf i could exchange for cheaper with membership plus exchange fee with rci and go to a better location in those places. I was considering swapping over to HICV from silverleaf and trying to do damage control on the minimal amount of screwing i would take.

I also own a Silverleaf week. From past experience with HIVC taking ownership of other timeshare resorts, I would be patient and wait to see how successfully HIVC implements the Silverleaf rebranding. They are clearly taking an initial cautious approach starting with locations furthest from Texas where the Silverleaf headquarters is located as well as the majority of Silverleaf Resorts.
HIVC's success with these initial resorts rebranding will likely determine their strategy as they close in on Silverleafs home turf. Depending on how much success HIVC has with enticing Silverleaf owners to convert, will likely determine what (if any) type of incentive will be offered to Silverleaf owners to entice them to convert their Silverleaf week to HIVC? To my knowledge, Silverleaf Bonus Time is a perk which is unique in the industry. So it's difficult to predict how Silverleaf owners who have extensively taken advantage of Bonus Time, will respond to HIVC? Time will tell!
