Orange Lake current promotions

Greetings all,

I will be going to Orange lake, with two units. One in West Village and the other in River Island. I'm going during May when my granddaughters' birthday will be celebrated. I am a points owner and have been asked to do updates sometimes.

My daughter and her husband will have one of the units and I am sure that they will be asked to attend a presentation. I want to advise them ahead of time what to expect. They know how to avoid any commitments, and my kids grew up in timeshares!

I am seeking info on what is the current scheme they will offer.

If they are checking in as guest, they will be offered a sales presentation, which would be different than the "owners update" that is what they offer us as owners. I have booked multiple units under my name so that my guests do not have to go through the "parking pass" issue.

Last time I did an update I got $100 (or $150?) gift card, plus discounted tickets to Disney. By combining both I got a pretty good discount on Disney tickets. I was able to get the discount again (without the update) by going directly to the exit door of the sales building, and asking the lady that gives out the cash/gift for current Disney offers.
 
Thanks so much. I like your idea of avoiding the sales presentation by going around to a different door. I wonder if you have any tips to make this work for me. I am an HIVC HICV points owner, but have not been to Orange lake in a few years, and I am certainly not a regular visitor here.
And BTW - what is the "discount" for Disney tix?
