An elderly friend converted their Orange Lake in Kissimee, FL weeks to points but doesn't know what kind of points. I see that Orange Lake is a Holiday Inn Club resort. She has a RCI account and Holiday Club account. I don't know anything about points but saw on this forum there are different point systems and they have their own rules.

How do I find out what kind of point system she has?

What would the difference between Holiday Inn Club points and RCI points be?

Look at the contract. That should specify the type of points. Also have her log on to her account or call a cutomer service representative and ask what the points are.

points

They are Holiday Inn Club points. She can use them to stay at any of their resorts. Orange Lake hates RCI almost as much as I do.

HIC exchange versus RCI exchange

Thanks, I will also look for the contract as suggested as well. Is there a lot of Holiday Inn Club resorts? Do the Holiday Inn points work like the Wyndham point system works - you can go to a Holiday Inn Club resort without paying an exchange fee but if you trade into a RCI resort you pay an exchange fee as well as using points?
