We were recently approached by Options Travel Group about helping us get out of our timeshare ownership and signing up for their Premier Club membership to get travel discounts of all types. Can anyone give us information about their experience with this company? Thanks.

They want to "help" you out by selling you a travel membership? Doesn't sound very helpful to me.

Lots of complaints on the BBB

They have three “reviews” on their website. One of the glowing reviews is actually a review for a completely different company called Legacy Adventures. This F-rated BBB company is apparently out of business as their website doesn’t come up. Options Travel Group has two locations, MO and Spring, TX. Legacy Adventures is/was in Spring, TX.

There are other cheaper and more efficient ways of "[getting] out of [your] timeshare ownership" besides using these questionable companies.

We used Options Travel Group to get out of our timeshare. We had been scammed before by a company said they would sell my timeshare; thus we were VERY hesitant. The person we met with was very professional and answered all of our questions. She has truly been a support person, as she promised, through the whole process. We were out in a little over 4 months. Everything done as promised. We did have a little issue contacting the person assigned to get us out for updates. I called the person I met with at the presentation, she contacted corporate and I got my update within a couple hours.

The travel program: We were explained we could use the Premier Options Club to go to the same timeshares used when owned our deed with the additional benefit of not paying those absurd Timeshare maintenance fees, or having to plan a year plus in advance. We were hesitant when told we would have unlimited access to all the timeshares with unlimited weeks. In the past 9 months, we have stayed 5 weeks in a timeshare, been able to 'upgrade' to better quality timeshares, and not having to plan out very far.

Hope our experience can help others get out too.

Shill.

I am constantly amazed by the number of people who join TUG and on the same day as they join, post glowing reviews of companies such as this one. Coincidence? I think not.

register just to post and promote an upfront fee exit company that has a 1 star rating with dozens of bad reviews all saying the same thing?

thats totally legit! no way you could possibly be involved with that company and posting a fake story!

We were recently approached by Options Travel Group about helping us get out of our timeshare ownership and signing up for their Premier Club membership to get travel discounts of all types. Can anyone give us information about their experience with this company? Thanks.
In 2021, my elderly dad was looking to exit his timeshare ownership because he was no longer able to travel and wanted to be released from the annual maintenance fee. He met at a local Holiday Inn with Options Travel Group, who promised him a way out. (He couldn’t remember how this meeting came about; I suspect it was spam email, an online ad, or similar.) He left this meeting with a two-year membership in Club365, a timeshare scheme from RCI/World Travel Holdings. (RCI markets Club365 to its affiliates in the travel industry as “a travel membership program to convert non-buyers into buyers” of vacation club memberships.)

The cost? $7,495, which was charged to a Barclays Bank RCI Elite Rewards World Mastercard that Options Travel had issued to my dad that day. They also gave him a separate transfer agreement stating that my parents would have to send an additional $1,300 for Vacation Warehouse LLC to process the transfer of their timeshare out of their name.

This is where I got involved and stopped my dad from sending more money. I found dozens of complaints against Options Travel Group of Springfield, Missouri, and Spring, Texas, and its affiliated companies (Vacation Warehouse, Travel Remedies, Leisure Getaways, Legacy Adventures) from people who stated that they sought to exit a timeshare but were duped into buying another one, that they couldn’t reach the company, and/or that the company did not honor its promise of a future transfer of the timeshare ownership they were seeking to exit.

I disputed the $7,495 credit card charge, but the bank denied it because in their view it was a valid purchase. After getting hit with late fees, interest, and damage to his credit score, my dad ultimately paid it.

There's a happy ending: I learned of a site called Responsible Exit (https://responsibleexit.com), a travel industry resource that helps people exit timeshares safely. Through this site, I was connected to the deed back department at Bluegreen Vacations. Their representative was extremely pleasant, patient, and professional. With a minimal amount of paperwork, Bluegreen released my dad from his timeshare ownership and annual fee.

Exit companies will convince you that all timeshares are bad, that you cannot get rid of them and that you have no other option but to pay them thousands of dollars. Even those that may ultimately be successful in exiting a timeshare will do so with low hanging fruit, an easy exit that a timeshare owner could do themselves, but the exit company refuses to tell you about. The website in your hidden link is a scam site itself. It is nothing more than a feeder site that sends leads to exit companies. Interestingly, one their top three exit companies they promote is Resort Advisory Group, a timeshare exit company that was recently found liable for a $16M judgment for fraudulent advertising. They also appear to have gone out of business likely leaving hundreds of timeshare owners with lost money and still owning their timeshare. This would be very typical for just about any timeshare exit company that you pay. See the link below.

We do not recommend ANY exit companies. Where do you own? Search for your timeshare name on TUG
on Redweek.com (to see if there are any for sale, and at what price)

Note: If you do not own a name brand timeshare, you will likely need to
1) see whether your HOA will take a deed back
2) give it to another owner, or
3) default to get out of it.

oh look, more people still being ripped off by options travel group. BBB finally gives them an F rating.

Which is likely why Jason Pride moved on from Options Travel Group and recently created Empower Property and Title, a new scam company.

What kind of people run these scams? Jason Pride is associated with Options Travel Group as well as some other scam companies. According to LinkedIn, he used to be a sales manager for Bluegreen. He went from lying to make a timeshare sale to lying to get them out of the timeshare. Worst of it all, he worked for Bluegreen, he knows they have a deedback program. Post #13 in this thread talked about someone who paid Options Travel Group $7500 to exit their Bluegreen timeshare only to realize they were scammed. They ended up using Bluegreen direct to exit their timeshare. Jason Pride, and whatever company he may be using, should be put out of business and in jail.
