On the way to Pto Penasco

As you cross the border at Lukeville, and go into this little town right inside Mexico (I can't remember the name) on the way to Pto Pensaco, is there any good restaurants to grab a bite to eat? I thought I saw a post, but I can't seem to find it now. Can anyone make any recommendations? We won't be going into PP until that evening, as we are staying at the Mayan Palace.

The Town right across the Border at Lukeville,AZ is Sonoyta, SON
I have never eaten at any restaurant there so I can't be of help with that.
Instead of going around PTO Penasco taking the by-pass route near where you enter You may want to consider driving thru instead and stopping for lunch befor checking into the MP.

Hit the beach

We're not going to be there for a full week, so that is why we are avoiding going to PP right away. Thanks for the name. I googled it and found the info I was looking for, plus some I wasn't! "Gringo Gulch" in Lukeville will do the trick also!
