Any words of wisdom? I wanted to get rid of it completely, but my husband can't let it go yet.

I was going to delete this thread, but don't see a way to do that. They offered me $30./off per month if I agreed to 12 months of service and I accepted that.

I really wanted to get rid of the $7.95 regional sports fee since we don't watch sports, but I was told it is a mandatory fee for the channel package that I have.

Funny I have DirectTVNow and with all taxes and fees it costs $16.22. I have lowest plan, but back when I signed up if you had ATT unlimited mobile plan they gave you $25 off any subscription and free HBO for life.

I think I get like around 65 channels. Not as nice as cable box. But for the price works for me.

I went back and forth with Fios several times, but I only had leverage the day before my previous contract expired. They finally offered my current package for three dollars less per month, making it about $110 a month.

I was considering Youtube TV which is $40/month. I just don't know how all this new stuff works.

With Directv, we DVR pretty much everything we want to watch and watch it without commercials. I wasn't sure if that was possible with youtube TV and all the other newfangled things. I decided saving the $30/month for a year to keep doing what we are used to doing would give me lots of time to casually research all the other choices.

We did completely cut the cord a few years ago and only used Netflix and Amazon Prime. Amazon Prime was pretty bad back then, but it's much smoother now. I remember feeling like I ran out of things I was interested in watching on Netflix about a year later.
