Never heard of them and I would hesitate to use a company to "sell" a timeshare. Not usually much value in a timeshare monetarily, If they are telling you to pay upfront, then thats easy advice, don't do that ever. You can look on eBay. Check the completed listings to see what your timeshare might sell for.

If there is an upfront fee don't waste your money.

The big question is..... Did you call them, or did they call you?

I’ll go out on a limb and guess that you received a cold call from an otherwise unknown company guaranteeing you that they can sell your timeshare and all you need to do is pay money upfront. It is a scam. Not only is this a scam but every single cold call a person receives from a strange company promising to make you money in exchange for an upfront fee will also be a scam, 100% of the time.

Oliver Commercial Properties is supposedly based in North Carolina. The state of North Carolina has no registered business entity by that name. Their listed address is a multi story building yet they don’t list a suite number. It is because they just found the address on google, they are not there. Their phone number is a VoIP phone which means they can call from anywhere in the world despite their NC prefix. Their website was created recently in August 2024. The website doesn’t even list any properties because it isn’t a real company. Finally, this supposed American company has a website registrar located in Spain.

@wpanaccion You haven’t come back to TUG so we do not know your situation. I am adding some actions that you could take if you have already paid the scammer money.

If paid by credit card, file a dispute with your credit card company.

File a complaint with the BBB of Central and northwest North Carolina.

File a complaint with the North Carolina Attorney General (and also one with your home state Attorney General)

If you paid by wire transfer, file a complaint with the FTC

Finally, you may be tempted by a smooth talking exit company. They of course will want thousands of dollars upfront. They may even promise a money back guarantee. You will be scammed. There are three possible outcomes from an exit company. First, if your resort accepts deed backs they will do this. You could do the same by calling your timeshare and requesting it. However, the exit company will charge you thousands of dollars more than your resort charges pocketing the money for themselves. Second, they will tell you you to stop paying resulting in a foreclosure. You don’t need to pay thousands for a foreclosure, those are “free” to do. Third, they do absolutely nothing.

We wish you luck

Also, if you are referring to your Westgate timeshare that is in your profile, there is no selling and giving away is almost impossible. This is because of the restrictions and extra fees that Westgate places on resale owners. Your best option is to contact them about a possible deed back, though they have a high fee to do this. That fee might still be cheaper than many years of maintenance fees. There is also a Facebook Group out there for Westgate Timeshare Hostages as well as an owner group where you might be able to seek additional advice.
