As my "quest" for LT Platinum before 12.31.18 (in order to secure LT Platinum Premier) continues, a large part of my calculus to get to 750 LT nights (already have 2MM LT points) is the 15 nights associated with the Old Marriott Chase Credit Card.

I just noticed that my Annual Fee posted in early JUL. Can I assume that once the statement on which that Annual Fee is paid I will shortly thereafter see the 15 nights hit my MR account? Any prior experience or guesses as to how long it takes to get posted?

Similar question about the $3k spend = 1 night award. I assume they do that calculus 1x/mo. and add any nights earned to your MR account as well. Prior experience or guesses?

It's going to be close, so I need to keep track of everything to know how many actual nights I need to plan to book in DEC.

Yes. I believe it’s posted after payment received. we have seen nights posted and MR points added (that correlate to your spend) usually between 2-3 days after our payment clears.

For 15 nights it is after your anniversary. Guessing it times shortly after statement cuts but not positive. Not sure if that is tied to payment.

Crediting of nights or points is not related to payment but rather statement close date for points and nights credit on a fixed day of the month. My night credit shows up on the 9th or 10th of every month. Statement closes on the 12th and the points show up around the 15th.

Do those 15 nights per year count towards lifetime? So if you have the card for a decade but never stay at a marriott you would earn 150 nights in LT.

I thought those nights only counted toward annual status NOT lifetime status. Wow so hard to keep up on this these things.

Those 15 nights per year do count towards lifetime, and also every $3K spending giving 1 night.

well as it turns out I will benefit from the merger. I do not qualify as LT on either program, but when they merge I will qualify as LT Gold. I have 400 Marriott nights and 125 SPG nights. 7 years of Gold or higher status between the 2 programs.
