OLCC West Village, confirm or not.

I have about 9 hours to decide if I want to confirm a week at OLCC West Village. Has anyone stayed there recentley. A few years ago I checked into the west village, just to check right back out. As soon as we walked into the room, my wife's and my skin started to burn from the heavy smell of cigarette residue. I understand the resort is now non-smoking. Does the rooms in the west village smell clean now. I understand they are doing renovations there. Does anyone feel this is also a problem. Thanks for any help. James

I beleive all of the West Village has been renovated. You could call to double check or I'm sure fellow tuggers will chime in.

I don't have the exact number of the Golf Villas that are renovated but I think it is around 75%. I believe they are expected to be done early to mid next year but I could be wrong.

Smoke Residue

Could be a problem, if you do not get a renovated unit that might help with less smoke residue.

All west village units were smoked in at one time or another.

When you are going?

I traded into OLCC in August. Trade said West Village, but I was assigned a unit in East Village. Please read my review. We were not happy with our unit.

I believe that starts in 2009 but until then, anything currently that says West Village for a reservation in 2008 could be the original West Village, East Village, or North Village.
