I have an OGS for New England ski areas next Feb with about 20 resorts in the search. I specified a 2 BR in the search. I just got a match for Mt Sunapee, but only a 1 BR. The email gives me options to confirm the match or change the search. Does this mean I have to redo the search? If I let the hold lapse on 3/24 does the original search continue? Thanks in advance for any info.

The answer below applies for II. I am not familiar with OGS in RCI.

What you have is considered a potential match and you have to call II to accept it. If you do not call, the hold will be dropped and your OGS will continue.
II will likely call you sometime today about it. You can either answer or ignore the call. Nothing will change.

If the search is with RCI, the search will continue. But be aware that RCI seems to ignore the online drop-down where you can choose the reason you don't want the match. The list includes "need different unit size" and "need different dates." I have found that less than five minutes after choosing one of these options, RCI e-mails me again about the same unit.

Sorry, should have specified that it's an RCI OGS. So, do I have to have to specify that I don't want the match? Or just let the hold lapse?

Either way will work.

Yes but you may want to contact RCI to find out why a 1 BR matched. If you cancel or let the hold drop, it will just match again with the same match over and over and after about 3-4 times, it will cancel your search completely.

Change the number of people traveling to 6 or more to filter 1 bedrooms
RCI allows both number of travelers and unit size filters. There are some 1BR units at some resorts that sleep 6 so if you don't filter for 2 bedrooms or larger even with the 6 or more, you still might get a 1 BR match.

Thanks for the heads up on calling. I couldn't edit the search until I released the 1 BR on hold. Changed the filter to 2 BR sleep 6, so hopefully that filters out the smaller units.
