We are at Molokai Airport again for hopefully, out last trip in a while. Kim has eye surgery on Tuesday so we decided to spend ds ome time in the old neighborhood.

We are staying ay Wyndham Royal Gardens. It's only 3 blocks from where we used to live.

We have the big 30 seat plane on Mokulele this time. First time for me but Kim has been on it once before. We should get on Oahu at about 2pm and then an Uber to the unit. We'll be a little early but we'll see if the unit is ready. shaka

And now for a quick Uber to Waikiki.

Uber driver took the wrong exit and we had to go almost all the way to Kaneohe. :D :ROFLMAO:

We still got here before 3pm. Our unit was ready so we were able to check right in. We had to go to Longs and get a prescription for Kim for before the surgery.

Unfortunately, she is not walking very good. Sounds like the kidney stones on her left side are bothering her now. The doctor said they will probably have to go after those too.

We were able to walk over to the Royal Hawaiian Center. We had some fish dinners at the Food Court. We just got back to the unit.

Time to relax a bit. Here's some pictures from our travels today.

We never had a lanai when we lived in Waikiki so it's a nice evening to take advantage of the one here.

It's good to see the Paddlers out again in the Ala Wai Canal and it looks like some rain up in the Ko'olau Mountains. shaka

While enjoying the lanai, I heard the fireworks start at Hilton Hawaiian Village. Surprisingly, I was able to get a partial view of them from the lanai.

While I was doing some posting, I heard a plane overhead and when I looked up, I saw it was flying right past Venus. I was able to get a picture with my phone. Now that it is darker, Mars showed up right over Venus. shaka

In the first picture Venus is in the upper right corner. I barely got that shot. :D

I did a short video of the Hilton Hawaiian Village Friday Night Fireworks also. At least the best that I could see. :D

Here's some pictures of our studio here at Wyndham Royal Garden. We are in the 6th floor. There is a zen garden type area on the 4th floor. The laundry is in the 4th floor also. Laundry is complimentary with your room key. I will take some pictures of that later, along with the pool area.

One thing I can't believe after these last few trips, is how much I have changed about using A/C since I have moved to Hawaii.

We have been here almost 4 years now and haven't had A/C wherever we have lived.

Five or six years ago, if you would have asked me if I could live in Hawaii without A/C, I would have said no way.

On the Big Island we ran the A/C tge whole time and I came back with a cold. We never ran it at the Maui Schooner and I just turned it off here now. I should have turned it off but I turned it up to 76 because Kim was still warm.

Things change I guess.

Here's some pictures of the Laundry, Media and Zen Garden areas.

I got an appointment for a haircut at my old place, Rose Mary's at the Ohana East Hotel. It wasn't crowded on Kuhio at all. I was a little surprised.

Not much of a line at Udon or the fish Market. I stopped at one of our old favorites to bring home some lunch, Surf N Turf Tacos. Fish and Shrimp Taco Plate, Carnitas Nacos and a Steak Quesadilla.

Today we are headed to Aloha Steakhouse for a Father's Day dinner. Not too much else on the agenda today.

Tomorrow is Kim's first appointment. It's late morning so after that we are going to visit a friend who lives in an apartment in our old building, Aloha Lanai.

The weather has been great and we are having fun relaxing here at the Wyndham. Kim's left side has been bothering her so not a lot of walking for us. Looks like one more kidney stone surgery is in her future.

Didn't take you a minute to slide back into your old habits. Feels good, doesn't it? I feel that way every time I step off a plane in Hawaii. shaka
