Hi all,

I'm still busy parsing through the photos I take during our 4 night visit to Ocean Pointe last week.

I've posted some new images of Ocean Pointe.

The newest images are at the top of the gallery & are the images with numbers in the title. I'll be renaming them and adding titles in a few days before integrating them into the gallery.

I hope that you enjooy them. I try to shoot captures which show how the resort and villas will look and feel as you move through them & walk about the resort. Hopefully this helps folks get a grasp of what a visit to Ocean Pointe would really be like.

Barry

PS The new shots in the bedroom will show a hastily made bed since it was a "guy trip" for the first day and a half and my wife doesn't arrive until the evening to holler at me.

Your pictures are very nice. We were in the Sailfish bldg last year. How did you enjoy your walk to the main bldg and pool area?

Barry - OP is a beautiful oceanfront resort, steps to pools and the beach. Can't imagine the new one up the road will be as nice, and if so it must be spectacular. Thanks for sharing your excellent photography - makes me want to go there again but your owners don't trade enough. I'd prefer Kingfish I think (it wasn't built when I was there), but I'm so lazy I'd probably drive to the main office! :) Any chance the 'pink' condo in between could get bought out by Marriott ... then they could put in a shuttle bus.

As you correctly surmise, it's a really nice walk in the early morning sun. With the exception of the photos taken inside of the villa, I shoot all of the outdoor stuff during a 60 minute stroll around the property the morning that we are leaving. Once again, a positive attribute of Ocean Pointe is having a 24 acre campus to explore, especially if you're a photographer like myself who is always looking for things to shoot.

Brian, forget the shuttle bus, you're gonna get a beer gut if you do not get out and walk about the campus at Ocean Pointe. The pink building is gonna be what it is for some time. Hard to say if Marriott will give up on it as everyone waits for the couple of owners who did not want to sell to move on. By that time, the acquisition cost may be too high.

"Nice" is an aesthetic term so I'm not gonna venture a guess about Oceana Palms as your delft blue could be my aquamarine. I'll put my faith in Marriott to deliver another top notch timeshare product wherever they put the MVCI stamp.

Yeah, it's unfortunate for folks trying to trade into OP that more platinum owners do not trade their week. Then again, each resort has it's own personality & trading pattern. In that sense you're lucky at BPT where less owners occupy and there's less competition for owners to use their week. Why not try a summer trade to OP with you plat BPT week? You'll make that trade and probably like us, you'll be surprised at how different the water is in the summer ( once you get past the humidity ).
