Hi! Back in September, I had booked a preview weekend for Anderson Ocean Club, in a one bedroom for the weekend of my birthday in May. However, our friends are throwing a party that weekend, so I called today to see what other times might be available. I made it clear I really wanted 1) oceanfront and 2) a true one-bedroom with a kitchen. He ended up offering us Ocean Enclave for late July, and I was shocked it was available. I guess we will have to pay for parking (that's new to me for MB; does anyone have advice about that?)

While we have toured Anderson Ocean Club and Ocean 22 (i think that was the "new" HGVC resort at the time,) Ocean Enclave is new to me. Anything I should know? Pool thoughts? (Please don't tell me I'm going to have to get up at 6 am for a pool chair.) It's been a minute since we've been to MB, but it's an easy drive, and it's definitely cost efffective for us. Looking forward to eating at Sole and just relaxing as much as we can.

Looking forward to hearing from folks who have stayed their recently. And, no worries, there is no way that I'm purchasing anything, LOL!

I've only stayed at Ocean Enclave (4-5x), but have walked thru O22 and Anderson. I have to say by far OE is the best of the bunch for a couple reasons. First off the lobby dropoff/access is better laid out (it still might be congested) and the elevators are all accessible on the first floor. At O22 you have to take an elevator to Flr 2 to check in. We really haven't spent much time at the pools. There are two, one of which is covered by the building overhead and the larger of the two is out in the open. They are not huge by any means, but I am pretty sure there are a large number of loungers between the pool and the beach. One of the things I like about OE is that the north end of the boardwalk is right there. If you want to get out for a walk, but not walk on the beach or on the sidewalks in front of the resorts it's handy. There has been a rooftop bar on the building just to the south that has bothered some and there can be loud cars/motorcylcles that cruise the street in front at night. I'm a pretty light sleeper and have managed to sleep pretty good there.

As far as the parking goes, as a non-owner you will likely have to pay to park at the resort garage which is pretty close, clean and easily accessible. A friend of mine was down there in December and parked at a meter on the street near the garage without feeding the meter and got a parking ticket. I have to imagine they are more aggresive in the summer months.

Hope you have a nice stay!
