My 16 year old wants to jet ski on Oahu. It looks like H2O sports does this year round. He has done it in Maui during the summer. Any advice, recommendations for companies, considerations I should know? We will be traveling in winter.

There are several out of the Ala Moana marina that will pick up from the Waikiki area hotels, we were picked up from Hilton Hawaiian Village timeshare. We chose the combo jetski and parasail. They shuttled us out to a float and we rode jetskis in a circular course around a lagoon area, then the parasail boat took us over near the Waikiki beach.

Sorry I don't remember the name but you won't have any problem finding one if you pick up one of the many tourist activities coupon books in every hotel lobby.

I think Manalua Bay is a jet ski friendly area.

It is, though it can get sketchy during decently sized south swells. Less of a worry during the winter, of course. I see jet skiers all the time when surfing China Walls.

So would you recommend Manalua Bay or Ala Moana in the Winter? We are coming from Ko’olina but don’t mind the drive, just want the best experience.

Both locations are affected by the same south swells, so winter shouldn't be much of an issue at either. Maunalua Bay tends to be windier, but it's not bad. Being in a higher population area and also closer to where a lot more people work, Ala Moana area tends to be more crowded even in the water. It's really a matter of preference, I don't think you can really go wrong at either.
