We're going to NYC in a couple of weeks and I got an email yesterday offering a dinner and a show for $100 and a 60 minute owner update presentation. Has anyone taken this offer or negotiated a better offer for spending their time in a presentation? The dinner is for Gallaghers Steakhouse. Is there a limited menu for this reservation? The show is for The Book of Mormon. They claim

I’ve been to both
I think that’s a great deal
I’d do it

How many people does the $100 cover? If it's a show you'd like to see, personally one I have never been interested in it might be worth it. Gallagher's is well liked.

We did it. Great deal because it was an event week and the shows were running $300/pp for seats. We had 3 so paid a small additional charge for our adult child. Good steak house dinner too.

mrs. brp is an absolute No on the sales pitches, but we have gotten offers like this. I would certainly do it, but this is a two-player game. Gallagher's is a standard tourist place, but fares quite well in reviews. We were offered Tavern on the Green, another tourist location. Book of Mormon is hilarious.

Cheers.

There will be a limited menu both for food and for cocktails based upon our experience with these. The food and cocktails are generally pretty decent - don't expect 2 or 3 star Michelin cuisine, of course. We've done two of these in NYC and they were both decent dinners and good seating in shows we would have liked to seen in any case. Our preference for OU incentives there has evolved as a result to being the dinner and a show if they have one during our trip (they can be flexible about the show if you've seen the one they offer but you have to ask), then the Hilton Honors when it's a good amount, then the others.

This is an HGV Ultimate Access event. I've been to many. For me, the crown jewel is the annual LPGA Tournament of Champions related events. I love it!

HGV had to start this program when they acquired Diamond because Diamond had these types of events for their owners. The last time I stayed at Cancun in Vegas, I got offered both the regular incentive for an OU and dinner and a show for six at the resort. I was told the dinner and a show at Cancun was standard for every stay for all of their owners.

I called the hotel today to inquire about the offer. After giving her my information and reservation, I was told that the offer was only good for owners that bought retail. Of well, I guess I will have to book my own entertainment...

The tkts booth had great deals yesterday. Got gatsby orchestra h for $103 and &juliet for $121 orchestra j. Half off after you account for the junk fees.

We booked our own show tickets. Has anyone tried the Go City Pass. It's supposed to get you into several attractions around the city at a discount.

I prefer to walk the box offices. We like to walk in the city and this avoids the TKTX fees and lines. We found same day center orchestra seats for Wicked at the box office.

Have not used the pass. The advice I've seen given is to check to see how many attractions you actually want to go to that it covers. And do you still need to "buy" tickets, or does the pass just let you go whenever you want.

Paid $144 each for Orchestra seats for &juliet by purchasing on the official show website. It's a show my daughter really wanted to see on our next visit and we only have a few days so didn't want to chance trying to get discount tickets. But it sounds like we didn't pay all that much more than you did.

On Oahu back when Costco offered a Go City Oahu Pass for a very attractive price that included a luau I was willing to attend.

No idea what the Go City NYC pass offers nor the price.

I used the Go City Pass in Chicago a few years back. It worked well and did save some money.
