NPS Announces Plan to Rebuild Caneel Bay Resort

After three years of public engagement, the National Park Service announced its decision to move forward on the plan to reconstruct a resort at Caneel Bay to replace the iconic hotel that was largely destroyed by Hurricane Irma in 2017.

Loved visiting resort while staying at Westin. So interested.
 
We stayed at Caneel Bay for 8 nights about 10 or so years ago. At the time, it was my favorite resort ever. I am not sure it would still be my favorite anymore because, since then, we have stayed at many fabulous resorts with nicer rooms and beaches that are amazing.
