Not all contracts auto-enrolled in Abound?

I own an EOY Platinum WKV (resale) and 44k Westin Flex (purchased pre-2022 in part to retro my WKV). Both are fully functioning in VSN. However, when I test the "Elect to Abound" function, it seems that while my WKV is available to elect, my Westin Flex is not and I get a message that, in effect, states that this contract has not been enrolled in Abound. Anybody else have this experience?

It's been hit or miss with some owners of the VSN- enrolled flexible products whether or not they can elect Club Points online. You just have to call Vistana and notify them of the situation and elect Club Points by phone for the time being. I suggest calling the cross trained agents because they can navigate between the two programs efficiently and know who to call if need be. 800-239-2197

Westin Flex is not mandatory so it will not be eligible for Abound unless purchased from Marriott.

But if it is was in VSN before August 2022, it should also be in Abound.

It was VSN before August 2022 so I'm hoping it's Abound eligible. I'll call after the holiday and post findings.

According to the OP, it was a retail purchase made to retro his WKV, so it definitely should be in Abound.

Thanks sponger76. That's exactly what I did.

Update:

I called the cross-trained number: 800-239-2197. Response time was reasonable and the person was very helpful. She had to call others but she stuck with it and was able to determine that when I rescinded a points upgrade on this contract, they didn't reinstate my VSN membership when they returned me to my original contract (although they should have). I probably saved a VSN fee for a year or two. Anyway, they said they will put this contract back into the VSN network and then I should be able to deposit Vistana Staroptions into Abound if I want to in the future.

Glad it worked out. Just yesterday I finally got two resale VOIs that I had retro'd to show up as VSN and Abound eligible. The transaction happened back in early April, but they kept having issues completing their end of the deal. As an added bonus, issues I had been having since early in the year with being able to make reservations on the Vistana website also went away yesterday as well.
