Nook Color verses Kindle 3G

Funny story:

I come home from trip and wife says open your present as you may be able to use it on our upcoming trip. I say fine but you have to open yours as I got you something you can use on the trip as well.

Wife opens my gift to her which was a Kindle

I open hers to me and it is a Nook Color....


so she says let's just keep one...


now which one??????

Tough call. I will be interested to hear how you decided. I'm glad I have my Kindle, but that was before Nook Color came out. Much harder decision now. I keep telling myself about the long battery life and light weight, but that color screen, Google Books, and all those 'Droid apps are tempting.

Jim's last note was my thought too. I bought hubby a Kindle and he loves it so much I'm getting mine Monday so we both have one.

We share books but especially on holiday we both read A LOT!! Sounds boring but I never have time at home to read for pleasure.

We are going to try out the Nook Color and see if it works for us. I saw a demo and I think it will work better for us with the color LCD screen and available android apps.
