Can I being a non point member buy and use points at the point resorts?
RCI you mean ?

Only way to use RCI points is to be an RCI Points member & have some points in your account.

Only way to join RCI Points is to have a timeshare week that's in RCI Points & pay the membership fee to get into RCI Points.

Once you're in, you're in -- can use your points to get points-based reservations into other people's timeshares. Our favorite way of doing that is Instant Exchange -- no more than 9,000 points for a full week in an RCI Weeks timeshare when the reservation is made within 45 days of check-in.

No, you can not buy point and use them, but you can pay cash on any point resorts. As to what inventories you will be able to get will depends on the resorts. Mostly will be last min type of deal. Some will be from owner or their own inventory, than you can have much better inventories, sometimes beat most of owners that can not make up their mind early.

For non-RCI point that is tied to specific developer, they usually has some discover program you can buy points from developers for use in certain time frame. Most of the deal are O.K. It maybe a little bit costly, but not that far, and sometimes will be better than paying cash to make reservation.

Someone creates a 3 year leasing point program build on top over RCI points. Some is better than avg. direct owning RCI point.
