Are non-heated pools in April really cold? we have some friends that want to rent a nice villa with a pool and asked me if I can help find them one. The one that we found has a non-heated pool and the owner said that it should be fine in April. I was thinking that the pool temp. would be really cold around that time do you think they are correct that it wont be that cold during that time?

Any suggestions on where else I can look for a 2 bedoom villa that is really nice in Akumal with a private pool. I was thinking of checking on VRBO but I have never used them and I was not sure how they worked.

Any suggestions would be great

Thanks
Susan

Two years ago, we went to Cancun in April. The resort had one heated pool and four or so unheated pools. We all thought the non-heated pools were chilly. But usually by 3pm, after drinking all afternoon, the pool didn't seem so bad....lol.

I have been in Cancun every late March / early April for years and the pool water may not be boiling, but it is warm enough. I bet the Royals that have heaters don't turn them on at that time of year.

April usually means warm pools. A lot depends on the weather, after a cool cloudy or rainy day (unusual in April) the pools can be chilly. The only really cold pools I experienced there were in December.

We have never had a problem with the pool temperature in April. We only thought the water was too cold during our XMAS stays
