In Sept of 2023 I bought a 12K credit account and the transfer was completed in Jan. 2024. The acct had 8249 credits in it that were issued 5/1/23.

In mid-2024 I used 8K of those 2023 credits and 2K from my May, 2024 allotment to book a 10K stay. So that should have left a 10,249 balance, yes?

Then later in 2024 I booked another reservation for 12K credits using balance of 10K from 2024 allotment and borrowing 2K from my 2025 allotment. Figures below don't make sense to me.

Below is what my account shows today:

Available Credits
0

Total available
0

Available to borrow
2,490 (I "rented in" 2000 credits last month + 490 left from 2023)

WorldMark + Affiliate Benefits
14,000 (me: does this include the 2K I rented in + my normal 12K allotment?)

Breakdown

Available
7,000
Valid thru 05/31/25

Available
7,000
Valid thru 05/31/26

Total available
14,000

Available to borrow
7,000

I don't understand the 14,000 and 7,000 figures above. Help please! I can call WM if no one can help here. :)

Since you bought resale, you should not have Affiliate Benefits - you only get this with Travelshare program, which is tied in with buying from the developer. I suspect that you are paying for Travelshare membership in your month dues, which should have been dropped off/refunded.

When I bought resale, I had Affiliate Benefits/Travelshare membership which I promptly called to have them correct the account.

Your numbers are confusing to me, why did you rent "in" (presumably) 2000 last month? Rented points should be regular points, not affiliate points. What is the expiration of those rented "in" credits?

It looks like you have borrowed 5K and not 2K from May 2025, hence the balance of available to borrow is 7K.

You need to call WM to sort out your Travelshare membership, which you should not have.

They were charging me extra for Travelshare at first but I wrote them and they then removed the charge. Sounds like the system still thinks I have it. I'll call them. Thanks.

I rented in 2K credits b/c I plan on using them for a stay later this year. They expire 2/2026 I believe.

When you book and when you rent in your credits, the system would automatically shuffle in the credits into existing reservations, for credits that would expire soonest. When I see that you have 7K that is "valid" through May 2025 and May 2026, something is not right.

It thinks that you have a 7K contract, not 12K contract. Are you sure you did not buy a 7K contract?

This is how mine shows. I have a 35K contract.

Yes, it's 12K, which I received on 5/1/24. I'll call them in the AM. A messed up IT department is pretty common for WM, isn't it? :)

If you're not paying travelshare dues and they think your membership is the +affiliates kind I wouldn't spend any effort trying to talk them out of it.

There no extra charges for WM+A, it's the grandfathered accounts from before travelshare existed. It sounds like they accidentally put you in there when they took away your travelshare.

Since it doesn't cost anything but comes with the ability to book club wyndham and WM south pacific I'd keep it. If you never use it no harm, but it might come in handy.

Got it. But what bothers me is they're only showing I have 7K credits per year instead on 12K.
I'm paying $117.82/Mo and think that's correct for 12K. Maybe I'll wait till May 1st and see if I get 12K credits.
