Resorts Owned
HGVC The District, DVC at Aulani and Hilton Head, Sheraton Broadway Plantation, the Colonies at Williamsburg, and the Grandview at Las Vegas
I have some newbie questions when booking. I own the District.

1) if I borrow points and later cancel it, do points return to its use year, or stuck in current year?
2) how do I elect to pay the all-inclusive membership fee to avoid the per reservation fees?

TIA.

Defer to many Gurus with ai dues with bHC membership but likely a quick call to member services to update your HGVC club membership to elect to pay the all inclusive/ai dues should do it...
@BingoBangoBongo , @brp & others?

Fellow newbie so take this with a grain of salt but on the inclusive club dues I have 2 points of observation: 1) You need to call to get the AI dues but some reps will insist that there’s no such thing, just hang up and try again and 2) when you do get someone who knows what they are they most likely will tell you that they can’t add it until you pay club dues at the normal rate for the first time as it’s an upgrade. From what I’ve learned it seems that the club dues should come with the MFs in the next month or so. So I am just waiting as they won’t refund any reservation fees once you are able to pay the AI fee.

Pts return to where they came from, saved pts return to saved pts, current year pts return to current year pts and borrowed pts to borrowed pts.

They return to where they were. Unlike other timeshares (e.g. DVC) borrowing is not a "Final Transaction". Even better, HGVC allows you to borrow saved points.

Call and ask to pay for the bHC all-inclusive membership. I had a great CSR who didn't get off the line until she made sure I could go through the online reservation process and not see a fee...as @RebelR wrote not all CSRs are that good.

Thank you - very heleful! Just so I am super clear, you called to pay an "upgrade" fee, which is how much? Don't know if I need to pay the full 2025 membership fee though.

Don’t know if I will be charged 2025 club fee before I can upgrade so I might just wait till I paid the upcoming 2026 club due and hope they know which year to apply to.
