Hi,
I am planning a winter trip (december) to NYC for 6 people. I am attempting to find timeshare rentals out there either in NYC or close enough that a train ride can bring us into town. I can't find any names of places that have timeshares in NYC or even New Jersey (close enough to NYC). Are there really limited options and it's only hotels? If anyone knows of any places I can check out for rental for a group of 6, can you please let me know? I have a hard time believing that it's only hotel rooms or house rentals on VRBO. Thanks.

ResorTime.com has at least two timeshare options in NYC but you might still need two units to house six people. The units are generally studio (2 person) or 1BR (4 people) with limited kitchens.

There is some Manhattan Club availability through the Wyndham portal for January 2014 - May 2014. There was some in December last week. And you might not get 2-3 units at the same time.

Manhattan Club is a good exchange with Wyndham, I think, because you pay the same in points for a unit there as in a similar size unit in a dumpy resort.

Great. Thank you both. IF any other ideas pop up, please let me know if you think about it. Thanks!
