I am looking at buying a time on the resale market. I can afford whatever I want, I am just looking for the best deal.

1. I prefer Hawaii and flexibility to trade but have no idea how it works.

2. Should I start with a bi annual in Hawaii?

3. I have stayed at the hilton kohola and it is fine, would that be a good place? I have stayed in Wyndham Bali hi in Kauai, also nice.

4. How do you tell best deal in Hawai?

Buy a 2BD platinum at Western Kierland and use the options to trade into Hawaii ( or one of the other VSN resorts) at 8 months. This could work well if you are flexible on dates. Prices are around $13000 on Redweek with approximately $2000 yearly maintenance fee

You're jumping to the finish line here, but that is exactly what we did nineteen years ago and we still own that Kierland unit. No regrets.

For your $13K, you want a platinum plus week (weeks 1-21 & 51-52). MF's are $2,157 this year with an additional club fee of ~$200.

There may be a better decision for you, but this would not be a wrong decision.
