I saw this announced and might get it for my daughter to have for her Rome trip this October, and thought others might want to know about it too. The fact it has 6 megapixels, takes movies and plays MP3's is very interesting.

For $300 it looks like a pretty good deal but I don't know how Samsung's quality is for cameras.

Brian -

I have been watching Digimax i6 also! I first saw it in a full page ad in USA Today a couple of weeks ago. I guess it will not be available until March 15th, and there is very little info (other than the specs) out there right now. What appeals to me is the size (very thin), the 2.5" screen, and the anti-shake technology. It comes with software to convert and play video (movies, television programs) stored on an memory card (great for long flights!)

I am anxiously awaiting any reviews on this camera because I would love to get one. My hesitation is that like most products, it seems the more secondary features they pack in, the less attention is payed to the primary feature. I want a great camera first and foremost.

I'm also afraid of buying a new type of product like this before reading actual test reports and reviews...but it sure sounds great on paper.
