I’m at SVR now. When I checked into the resort they handed me a piece of paper outlining potential issue during my stay due to a major upgrade to the reservation system today in order to become more compatible with Marriott. In passing I asked if this was due to a combined program for reservations. The response was “pretty much”. Well, today I made a reservation for one night to add onto this trip via my Vistana Dashboard. I just received the email and it no longer comes from Vistana Signature Experiences. The email came from Marriott vacation club reservations and the style of the reservation is in the style of Marriott vacation club or typical Bonvoy reservations. This is new to me, has this been the norm for a while? Last Vistana reservation I made a few weeks ago was still coming from vistana signature experiences.

Must be recent - last week email came from Vistana.

Now that you mention it.... we booked two nights for May at WDW and our email confirmation (1/5/22) is from Marriott Vacation Club Intl Reservations (reservations@res-marriott.com). At the bottom it highlights our Marriott Bonvoy account and status; Marriott Vacation Club rentals; and an 800#....

My fixed week SVR reservation appeared in my mailbox similar to the Marriott/Bonvoy format. So it looks like changes are in store...

Sounds like things have changed so that the Vistana reservations now come under the same system as Marriott reservations (which system includes Marriott Vacations Worldwide still using some of the Marriott, Int'l IT platforms as part of the licensing arrangement between them.) I would think this is separate from the anticipated reciprocal usage integration, more a function of Vistana now coming under the Marriott Vacations Worldwide umbrella.

I just heard from another owner that Vistana/Marriott inadvertantly canceled some of her reservations, (they notified her of this) so keep an eye on your accounts!

This is NOT a good development. My Vistana reservations have always shown up on my Marriott account but Marriott had the information wrong. I have always had to call the resort to confirm that the reservation is correct. With Vistana reservations, the information was always correct.

I like the functionality. I rent out my Harborside reservations every year and it is good to be able to have a renter externally lookup a reservation to confirm. I'll wait for the rollout to see if anything is broken - but this is a good thing IMHO (assuming I don't have any reservations randomly canceled).

I just made a Harborside reservation today and it still came from Vistana, not Marriott.

It looks like the subject line of the email also includes the Marriott.com confirmation number and no longer the Vistana.com number. That is good as we can more easily look it up online now.
