I just completed an ebay purchase at the Summit. I received the New Owner Information Sheet from the resort. It asks for Social security numbers and date of birth. This is a cash purchase. I don't want to provide that information if not necessary. I did not receive their privacy of information policy. Has any one gone through this?

I already have a RCI point account. How do I add this week to my RCI account?

Thanks,

Jane

We also bought a unit at Woodstone, Massanutten. We closed on this unit this year and Resort sent us form to be filled with our SS#, which we did not provide. We sent back form with our names, address, phone, etc, but no more.

We stayed 2 weeks ago for first time as owners, went to get our pictures taken for our Owners ID and no problem.

We split our unit (4 BR) and banked one week with RCI (we had already a RCI account for our Vistana Villages TS). Eventhough Vistana Villages is Interval now, the account on our names remained open.

Good Luck!

Thanks for sharing your experience with me. I think I will leave out the SSN and birthdays also.

Is there anything you need to do to "add" your new week to RCI? I have a RCI point account already. I called Massnutten today and was told I cannot do anything until I pay for 2009 MF.

Do they offer any owner's benefit? I am kind of surprised to get only one page of information (plus a map) from the resort after the transfer is done.

Jane-

Hey at least you got something in the mail and you know that they have you down as the owner. I have never gotten anything from any of the 7 weeks of resale TS that I have owned. Got one more in the works, so I will see what Fairfield/Whyndam does.

You will get mail from Wyndham! It might take long to reach you. But they eventually will send you a big welcome package, forms to sign up for RCI, forms for auto payment and a big Wyndham directory. I also purchased DVC resale and got lots of mail from Disney.
