This is not a timeshare, but a new resort hotel with great views of the lake right on the property of Edgewood golf course in Stateline NV. It will be opening in mid-June after a few years under construction. It is owned by the Edgewood company, and some facilities such as a large new restaurant, access to the beach, and rental bicycles and kayaks will be available for the general public according to the article. This is the property where they have the American Century celebrity golf tournament every July. I think it is one of the most beautiful and serene places around.

As a regular timeshare visitor to Tahoe, this will be a great new addition for us to use for side visits during the day while at our timeshares, and for all who go there to the burgeoning south lake scene. In the entire south lake area, there is lots of design upgrading going on, new facilities and businesses, and decent new restaurants popping up, plus several new brewpubs have brought the number of craft breweries to 5-6 in south shore alone. Plenty more upgrades planned for the area as well, from what I've heard.

I suspect that the price will be far more than I want to spend. ;)

Interesting that you mention this. (I'm posting this from SLT now and) my observation of the area is that any of the new construction seems to be significantly higher-end than the resorts that date from earlier decades. I'm still learning about the timeshare opportunities in the area but am taking notes.

Looks nice. I find this line from the article intriguing:

"While the pool, hot tub and fitness center will only be available to hotel guests, much of the property will be open to the public. That means this backyard can be a playground of sorts for everyone."

Wonder how that will work. Maybe they will charge a lot for parking. Interesting.

We went to their new restaurant at the lodge, which has both a large indoor seating area and outdoor patio with lakeview. Very nice. No parking charge. Walked around the grounds too. Worth a visit, as Edgewood's always been one of the most spectacular spots on the lake.
