I should have bookmarked it. I need the website that folks use with forums where folks share where they've stayed on Hotwire deals, so I can safely predict where I'd end up via the surprise package that is Hotwire. Thanks in advance!

BetterBidding.com is used for both Hotwire & Priceline

Bidding4travel.com is a much bigger site but has most priceline info (and a small amount of hotwire info)

Carol,

I have been sending you PMs and emails. I have a renter for your week. Maybe you will look here and contact me. Please look at your PMs and emails. Thank you, Marylyn Carlyle icydog@comcast.net

Hi Marylyn,

I ended up going to Charleston myself after posting it to Sightings/Distressed...had one bite but time was marching on. Turns out I went to Hilton Head the next week, which is why I haven't been on TUG so much. Now I'm trying to find a hotel deal in my hometown cause my college reunion is in just a couple weeks and I don't have a place to stay. It's been crazy! So anyway, thanks for thinking of me...and thanks for trying to help me. (I loved Charleston btw...sooo glad I went!) :hi:

We stayed in the Bluegreen Place there. Is that where you went? We really liked it. Trouble is, it rained the whole time we were there. I would like to try it again. Check your email for summation.

biddingfortravel has possibly the most rude moderator on the internet. It is amazing the number of users she has banned over the years. I regularly use betterbidding with excellent results and encourage anyone using the site to use their links to hotwire and priceline to keep the site going.

Heh heh...we're going off topic a bit aren't we? I stayed at Church Street Inn which despite the fact they're managed by the much maligned Festival was a excellent place. I didn't have one of the renovated units, but my conf paperwork said one br one ba with a queen, and I ended up with 1.5 baths and two queen beds up in the loft level. I'll be writing a TUG review soon.

Thanks everyone for your tips on those bidding sites...now to get to work to find me a hotel deal in da Burgh! :hi:

Can you give us some idea how you did it?

Bidding for travel works great on PriceLine but how did that other site work for HotWire?

I'll post when I end up bidding using that recommended site. I did check it, and there aren't many recent reports of "wins" of Pgh hotels. So thus far it's not helpful. Lots of postings for Philly. I guess nobody goes to da Burgh cept me:eek: !
