I have booked a 2 bed/2 bath unit at this resort for Dec 14-21, 2019. I understand the resort has been under going renovations. Has anyone been there lately or owns there that can give me some advice on which floor and unit numbers to try and request prior to arrival? I would like an ocean view from the unit. Not sure I understand the open balcony situation. Are the units quiet? I prefer not to hear my neighbors above or below me.

Thank you,

Suzanne

I stayed there over New Years last year and really enjoyed it. All the 2 bedrooms are designated as "pool view", but you can see the ocean from the living area on the 2nd-6th floors. The higher the floor, the better the view and you want a unit that ends in 10 or 11. The units that end in 12 are the smaller 2 bedroom units there. They are still bigger than the 1 bedrooms, but they are significantly smaller than the other 2 bedroom units. Most of the renovations have been completed and we had a great time there. The balconies are essentially the main walkway in front of the all the units facing the pool. They have unique sliding doors that really open up the living area, I really liked it but my family thought it was weird that everyone could see in. Hope that helps.

Thank you so much. This is the info I needed. Do you know if any of the units ending in 10 or 11 would be an end unit so we could avoid people walking by on the balcony? I will call ahead and try to get a unit on the 6th floor. I prefer not having people over me in condos as they are usually not that sound proof.

I believe the 10 units are on one end and the 12s on the other. There are stairs on both sides of the building but the elevator is on the 12 end. It really wasn't a huge deal for us to have people walking by. The balcony is fairly wide. The elevator is very small and relatively slow. I liked being on the 3rd floor so we could take the stairs easily. Hope that helps.

Thank you for your help. I found a unit map of the 2 buildings. It shows 6 floors in the Beach side building and 4 floors in the pool side building. Unit # 9 is on one end and unit 12 is on the other end. 10 & 11 are in the center. I will try to get unit 10 as its further away from the elevator. That should be less foot traffic by the unit since there is only one other unit past it. I am surprised that the beach side building does not have any 2 bedroom units.

Again thank you so much for your help, its really appreciated.
