Need to get a surety bond

for a truck title that was messed up prior to us buying it. I've already checked with our insurance carrier and they don't do them. Anyone have any info regarding these? Any recommendations or names of any companies.

Well, the Titles Unit at our MVD had several recommendations. Barring their helpfulness, any large insurance locally based insurance company can usually sell you a bond. You might also call an Investigative Service. My husband has an E&O bond as a notary. I think the agency also sold surety bonds. The bummer is you have to get it for the value of the vehicle (whatever that is). Oh, my husband says check with a repo shop, too.

nightnurse-thanks for your input. I had contacted my employers insurance carrier and they, too, were not very helpful. I finally contacted our state board of insurance and they gave me a list of companies that did these. I think I've finally got it in the works.
