Stupid thing I am sitting in a g37 and if I push the start button, the electrical kicks in but engine does not start, what am I doing wrong? Gotta leave too, I can't stay parked here!

Hahaha I figured it - you must keep your foot on the break! I am outta here. It's a rental.

A G37? Drive it like you stole it!

Yeah, that's the new trick for cars - special key in proximity, in P, brake on, push button.

Yep, the BRAKE is the key. I had a rental like that once, although I can't remember what kind of car it was.

The keyless Fiesta are also like that. My issue with them is the cup holder is about the only place to put the key --- there is no ignition key slot on steering wheel.

Drove me NUTS for the day I had the car - kept wanting to keep key in my jeans pocket or pocketbook --- nope, it had to be closer to steering column. :(

The G37 is fun to drive. The seat is not as comfy as my old BMW 740 at home, but I like the drive! Yes, no place to put the keys - annoying!!

LOL - just experienced this as DW dropped me off at the airport and was driving my car - she had to send me a text from the car to ask me how to start it...I didn't notice the message until I'd gone through security so she sat there for about a half hour;)
