We are going to spend a night in Gardiner in a couple of weeks as part of our rescheduled trip to Yellowstone. We were planning to go to the Park Street Grill and Cafe for dinner, but I think it has closed so I'm looking for recommendations. Any type of food would be fine as long as the food and service are good. Also, how does the Mammoth Hotel Dining Room compare to the restaurants in Gardiner?

Cheryl

The Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel is not one of the fancier hotels in the park. I have stayed there...and it was a fun stay...but it is rather rustic and doesn't have a nice dining room like the Lake Hotel and the Old Faithful Inn do.

Of course, Gardiner, Montana doesn't have many nice restaurants, either. I have eaten at the Yellowstone Mine Restaurant at the Best Western a couple of times. The food was good...the service could have been better.

The Rusty Rail puts out a very good meal.

Thank you for the info. If anyone else has any recommendations, I'd love to read them.
