Need a favor, can someone check availability?

Ok, I bought Wyndham points and I'm waiting for everything to be transferred into my name. Not questioning the time it takes, rather, wondering if another Wyndham owner can check availability on a resort for me.

I know it's a long shot but wondering what the availability for the Wyndham in Lake Tahoe in early August would be (1 bedroom would suffice but curious about larger acomadations just in case). I know it's the summer and that's tough to get but just curious. I don't mind renting if I have to.

Thanks.

Lake Tahoe Availability

According to the website there are no units available at Lake Tahoe in August. You might try Extra Holidays or RCI.

I figured it would be difficult/impossible but figured I'd check. My only problem is I don't know when (exactly) Wyndham will have everything transferred into my name. The deed's been recorded, etc. but I understand they can take a while. Looks like I won't be able to use the points for that vacation. No biggie. I'll look for a deal.

Thanks a bunch for checking!

Don't give up all hope on the resort. Once you get your Wyndham account you can check daily to see if a room comes available. Try early Monday mornings as most cancellation happen on the weekend. Also at the 15 day mark anyone thinking of canceling will have it done by then or they will lose all their points.

I helpful tip is to call and ask where your deed is in the process and explain that it is recorded and you might get lucky and have a WYN account within a week.

Planned on giving them a ring this week.

Good idea on checking availability. This is one of the few times where we are set on going to a particular area. The wife's never been to Tahoe in the summer and we're planning on moving out that way in the future so she wants to check it out. Otherwise, this wouldn't even be an issue.

Thanks for the advice!

You have to call and pester them. They told me 6-8 weeks for my recent title but it took 12 weeks once Wyndham received the transfer.

I spoke with them the other day. They confirmed they received the deed/contract, however, they have it marked as received 3 weeks after the deed was actually recorded.

They also told me 8 weeks from that date. I'm going to give them a call once a week and hope it goes through sooner rather than later! :wall:
